Ants

There are approximately 3000 different species of ants residing in Australia. Their development from egg to adulthood varies from as short as 6 weeks to many months. Generally their nests are more or less permanent and tend to be located in soil, wood and among rocks.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches are one of the most common pests in households and businesses. They tend to favour conditions similar to those that humans create. Cockroaches can contaminate food, utensils, preparation areas with droppings, vomit and cast skins.

Fleas

Fleas are a pest to humans and pets. They are the most common cause of skin disorders for pets in Australia. A single flea bite to a hypersensitive animal or person can cause intense itching and irritation.

Mice & Rats

Mice & Rats cause considerable losses to the agriculture industry by eating recently sown or germinating seedlings. They also damage electrical wiring, buildings and food stuffs as they gnaw on everything in sight. Mice and Rats are also responsible for human health problems

Bees & Wasps

Wasp nests and Bee hives create a dangerous environment within their immediate area. Both pests can sting, causing pain and swelling, in the worst cases causing anaphylactic shock.

Spiders

Spiders can be very beneficial around the home, eating many common insects around the house and garden. They can however pose a significant danger to pets and children. A spider bite on an adult person is typically painful at the time, resulting in swelling localised around the bite, however some spider bites can result in death.

Termites

Termites strike more individual homes and cause more damage than a combination of fires, storms, floods and earthquakes. Termites cause millions of dollars of damage every year in Queensland alone, it’s no wonder most insurance companies don’t offer termite insurance.
